My Favorite Anniversary Gift
We decided to spend three weeks driving our kids from Texas to the major landmarks in the western portion of the United States. Our first stop was the Grand Canyon and we planned to drive as far north as Redwood National Park in northern California. We were going to driving between destinations on our seventh anniversary. We ended up in a tiny town in central California with no restaurants to speak of and crowded hotel room. My husband was disappointed but I thought it was the best gift for an anniversary. What more could I want than to spend time with my family enjoying some of our country’s most beautiful site.
