Grilled Salmon and Rice for two
Last night, my wife and I went to a fancy restaurant somewhere in downtown Dallas. We were seated, offered drinks and a wine list, and our order for appetizers was taken. We decided to start with a bottle of Rose wine, and an order of calamari. So far, our meal was delicious. After about twenty minutes, the waiter returned to our table to take our dinner order. Being in the mood for seafood, both of us decided to order the grilled salmon with a side of wild whole-grain rice. We ended up waiting for what seemed like an eternity for our meals to be delivered. The wait was worth it. The fish was perfectly prepared – slightly seared on each side from the licking flames of the grill, covered in butter and served with a lemon wedge. Toward the end of the meal, we were offered some dessert, but we decided to decline the offer. Instead, we ended our evening with Styrofoam boxes filled with leftover fish and a few grains of rice. The grilled salmon was even delicious the next day for lunch. All in all, it was a great meal, a wonderful evening, and a delicious catch. We are making reservations for more of the grilled salmon next month.
