Today’s Hearing Aids are Small, Discreet, Reliable and Comfortable

Many people with hearing loss are too proud to admit that they have trouble understanding conversations around them. Unlike eyeglasses, which most people will wear without a fuss, hearing aids seem to have some sort of stigma attached to them. Perhaps a hearing aid is a reminder that old age approaching, even though hearing aids are worn by individuals of all ages. If you or a loved one suffers from moderate to severe hearing problems, making an appointment with an audiologist is the first step in being fitted for hearing aids. Once the severity of the hearing loss is determined, an audiologist can make recommendations about the different types of hearing aids and the various price points. Hearing aids can be rather costly and most health insurance carriers don’t cover them as a benefit. However, cost should not be a deterrent in selecting hearing aids, as many doctor’s and audiologist’s offices will work with you on a payment plan.
