Canning For The Winter
My mother is very old fashioned and she still cans foods from her garden at the end of summer so that she can enjoy it year round. Canning is a lot of work and she does it every single year. She purchases wholesale jars and she cans everything from green bean to tomato sauce. Sometimes, she purchases fancy jars and decorates them to give in a gift basket. I thought that this was a clever idea and I love it when she makes home made soup and brings it over to me in a decorated jar. She is an amazing person.
