LLCs vs. Sole Proprietorships and Partnerships

When a company decides to look into forming an LLC from their sole proprietorship or partnership there are many things for it to consider. First of all, if they decide to change they will have to be very diligent in keeping personal affairs and records separate from the LLCs in order to preserve the personal liability protection of the owners. Also, there will be a few more fees for an LLC and some more paperwork, since a partnership requires none. However, there are great benefits to forming an LLC. For instance it is much simpler for an LLC to raise capital through its membership, while assuring investors that they are not liable for the company in any way.
